Official policies

Use the current CogniAND Privacy Policy and Terms as the platform-level policy sources.

This manual does not set a universal retention period, deletion deadline, compensation rule, or ethics-review timeline.

Experiment-specific information

Each experiment should explain its own data collection and use in the experiment information and consent material. Before applying or participating, review:

• what information the experiment requests;
• why the information is needed;
• who is responsible for the study;
• how to ask a study-specific question;
• any stated withdrawal, retention, or sharing conditions.

If those details are missing or unclear, ask the experimenter before participating.

Experimenter responsibilities

Experimenters should collect only data required for the study, provide appropriate consent information, follow applicable institutional and legal requirements, and restrict access to authorized people. Exported data should be protected and minimized before sharing.

Credentials and sensitive information

Never place passwords, API keys, session cookies, private participant data, or consent records in public documents, screenshots, workflow prompts, or support messages. Redact sensitive information before sharing diagnostic material.
